How do I calculate my dosage for CBD oils?

All of our CBD oil tinctures come in a dropper bottle. A full dropper contains 1ml of liquid. This means the following quantities indicate how much CBD (in mg) you will consume when taking a full dropper. Consult the CBD dosage chart to calculate exactly how much of a dropper will equal the desired dosage.

How much CBD should I use?

The best practice and the industry standard for new users consuming CBD is to start low and go slow. For the average person, this means starting with a dose of 5-10 mg daily (or as-needed) and slowly increasing the dose in 5 mg increments every 2 to 3 days until you find the dose is right for your needs – this is known as a titrating period. More CBD is not necessarily better because CBD is bi-phasic, meaning there is an optimal dose range for an individual to use (generally between 10-40 mg per day). However, it’s important to understand that there are many factors that affect your body’s ability to absorb CBD, including weight, body chemistry, the symptom(s) being treated, as well as external factors such the quality of the CBD product being used and method of consumption. Everyone reacts differently to CBD, and finding the optimal dose takes some personal trial and error; see our CBD Dosage Chart for additional dosage information. What is the dosage for CBD oil?

While there is no universally recommended dosage, it is always best to start off with a low dose and increasing dosage gradually until you find the best dose for you. If taking Resolve Wellness Oil, we recommend dropping 0.5-1mL under your tongue and letting it dissolve over a minute or two. The dropper that comes with your Resolve Wellness Oil is clearly marked in 0.25mL increments so you can measure out the exact dosage you need.

Can you overdose on CBD?

CBD has been shown to be safe to use in high doses and will not cause a fatal overdose in any quantity. Taking too much CBD can result in unwanted side effects, such as lethargy or drowsiness.
